This explains what GoTaxi does with your personal information when you book a taxi with us. We have kept it short and in plain English.
Who we are
GoTaxi, 109 Chanter's Hill, Barnstaple, EX32 8DP. You can reach us on 07748 773570 or at gotaxi1950@gmail.com. We are the data controller for the information described here.
What we collect
When you fill in the booking form on this website, we collect your name, phone number and email address, along with your pickup address, your destination, the date and time you want to travel, and anything you write in the notes box.
If you phone us instead, we only have whatever you tell us on the call.
We do not use cookies, analytics or tracking of any kind on this website. Nobody is following you around the internet because you visited us.
Why we collect it
Solely to answer your enquiry and arrange your journey. We need your travel details to quote a price and turn up in the right place, and your contact details to confirm the booking with you.
We do not send marketing, and we do not sell or share your details with anyone for their own purposes.
Who else sees it
The booking form is handled by FormSubmit, which takes what you type and emails it to us. They process it on our behalf and do not use it for anything else. Your booking then sits in our email inbox, which is Gmail, provided by Google.
That is the full list. No advertisers, no data brokers.
How long we keep it
We keep booking emails for as long as we need them to run the business, and clear out old ones periodically. If you would like your details removed sooner, just ask.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email gotaxi1950@gmail.com and we will sort it out. There is no charge and we will respond within a month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
